Scottish Care’s Technology & Digital Innovation team leads on thought leadership, partnerships and strategic development in digital social care. We articulate visions such as “Technology & Digital in Social Care” and engage in design projects that emphasise rights, relationships and partnership. We convene collaborations with industry, academia and the independent sector to explore how digital, data and technology can strengthen social care now and in the future.

Our strategy focuses on promoting human-rights frameworks, showcasing the innovation capability of the sector, and facilitating meaningful participation in national and international innovation projects. By working with members and tech partners we aim to create a future-ready, resilient and inclusive care ecosystem.

We offer a rich library of resources and engagement opportunities covering digital skills, tech adoption, data ethics and innovation in care. These include training courses for care technologists, guides on assistive devices, project reports and case studies of innovation in action. We also host events and convene networks where providers, developers and researchers connect to share experience, debate challenges and co-design solutions. Through ongoing engagement and learning we support organisations to develop capability, make informed decisions and embed technology meaningfully in care delivery.
