Getting to know me

Not all technology will suit all individuals. What helps one person might not help another, so it’s important that conversations are person led.

Care technologists should work to see the full picture. They must understand the person. They get to know what matters to them, their support circles, and their ambitions and goals.

Our ‘Getting to know me’ template is a guide on how to have those initial, informal discussions. It’s a great way to get a rich full picture of the person.

User guides

There is no set list of technologies that can be used, but we have created guides for some common solutions:

We’ve also compiled a list of the devices we have tested and used to support people.
