I’m Jenna MacLeod and I am the registered manager at Premier Healthcare in Helensburgh, based in Argyll and Bute. I have worked at Premier Healthcare since 2009, where I started off as a carer picking up weekends and backshifts around my uni studies. After leaving uni, I stayed on here with encouragement from the owner Dorothy, who is also my mum, and we’ve turned into a mother-daughter double act in here. I became the registered manager in 2021 and when I was asked to become the branch chair for Scottish Care, I found this really helpful and supportive in “finding my feet” as a new manager. Although I’d worked in the sector for 12 or 13 years by that point my whole experience had been with the same company and it was really interesting, beneficial and fun to meet other managers, with other perspectives and who are facing the same challenges as me.
