Policy and Research

My work focuses on understanding the challenges faced by care providers and contributing to practical, evidence-informed approaches that improve outcomes. I bring a growing portfolio of experience across the third sector, with a focus on policy awareness, research-informed practice, and sector engagement.

I have developed insight into the operational, financial, and environmental pressures affecting independent care providers in social care. My work has engaged with issues such as sustainability, digital transformation, and service delivery, highlighting how policy, regulation, and resource constraints shape everyday practice. This has strengthened my ability to connect strategic priorities with frontline realities and support decisions grounded in both evidence and lived experience.

My interest in policy and research is reflected in my focus on wider sector challenges, including the funding crisis in social care, workforce pressures, immigration, and human rights. I am particularly interested in analysing how these factors influence care delivery across Scotland.
