When Abercorn House’s talented chef was suddenly taken to hospital, the Abercorn management team didn’t hesitate – Home Manager Rowena and Deputy Manager Laura stepped straight into the kitchen on 1st November 2025 to ensure residents continued to receive the high quality care (and food) they deserve.
From a hearty breakfast to a delicious homemade lentil soup- which one resident loved so much they had two bowls!- the day was filled with warmth, flavour, and smiles. Dinner was just as special, with creamy chicken risotto and comforting shepherd’s pie on the menu. And to top it all off? Freshly baked cupcakes and doughnuts for a sweet afternoon treat
