New guidance on supporting people with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties in Scotland

The Royal College of Speech & Language & Therapy (RCSLT) has  published a guidance today which supports individuals with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties in Scotland. This guidance is jointly endorsed by RCSLT, Care Inspectorate Scotland and Scottish Care.

This guidance:

  • highlights good practice
  • helps inspectors identify signs where a care service’s practice can be better and support them to improve
  • support care providers to better understand and implement good quality care
