Care Creates: Integration & Collaboration Quotes

Care Creates: Integration & Collaboration Quotes

Voices of collaboration, connection and shared care

Across Scotland, care is created through relationships. Between people who draw on support, families, staff, communities, schools and health partners, care is shaped by collaboration and shared responsibility.

The quotes below capture what integration looks like in everyday practice. They reflect joined‑up working, intergenerational partnerships, and the small but powerful moments that emerge when people work together around what matters most.

These voices show care not as something delivered in isolation, but as something built collectively – strengthening outcomes, sustaining relationships, and creating moments that last a lifetime.

Care Creates… Shared Solutions

“Our team regularly works with district nurses, GPS, and other care professionals to make sure customers receive consistent, joined-up care. Collaboration strengthens outcomes.”

–  Bluebird Care

Care Creates… Connected lives

“Social care creates connection. It builds new relationships and helps sustain the ones that can become strained by the demands of caring. By sharing the responsibility of support, care strengthens families, communities, and reminds us that people need people.”

– Kirsty Cartin QN, Care Home Manager, Rashielee Care Home

Care Creates… The space for people to thrive again

“Dad is still here, flirting with the ladies, enjoying the staff banter and looking forward to his meals and home events. We never thought such a turn around was possible. The care, the excellent food, the compassion and love he receives from everyone in St Olaf has brought about this transformation.”

– Daughter-in-law of Resident, St Olafs Care Home

Care Creates… Moments that become memories for a lifetime

“Larbert High School are so fortunate to have our intergenerational partnership with Carrondale. Every week our pupils head over to Carrondale to listen to stories form the residents. What started as writing letters during lockdown has grown into a storytelling project – we are working towards producing a book of residents’ lives. The kids act as “biographers”, capturing the residents’’ life stories so they aren’t lost to time.

It’s incredible to see the mutual impact the kids and residents have on one another and it’s thanks to Linda and her wonderful team! Carrondale do incredible things for their residents and we are so very lucky to continue or partnership with them.”

– Megan McLean, English Teacher at Larbert High School

Care is created together

Taken together, these quotes remind us that care does not sit within one service or system. It lives in partnerships, in trust, and in the everyday collaboration between people, professions and communities.

From shared solutions across care and health, to schools and care homes preserving life stories, to families witnessing transformation through compassionate support — each voice reflects the impact of care created together.

This is what Care Creates… when collaboration is more than a principle – it’s a practice.
