Collaborative Practice Learning in South East Scotland: sharing ideas and learning from others

Online Event

21 January

13:00 – 15:15

This South East Scotland practice learning event offers an opportunity for us to come together to think about some new ideas for enhancing the practice learning environment and to celebrate the positive benefits of partnership working.  If you’re interested in the practice learning of nurses, midwives and AHPs then you are very welcome to join us! It’s a free event, open to anyone, from anywhere, who has an interest in improving student learning experiences in health and social care practice settings. We have an exciting programme of speakers and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

Presentations include:

  • Practice education context in Scotland: Dr Kathy Duffy, Head of Programme for Practice Education and pre-registration at NHS Education for Scotland.
  • Using coaching in the practice learning setting, a strategic & operational perspective: Barbara Foggo, Emma Shepherd & James Wade
  • The Peer Enhanced e-Placement (PEEP) placement model – offering placement recovery and re-imagination: Dr Lisa Taylor
  • The PEF/CHEF team as a PLE: a collaborative approach with ENU: Billy Jackson, Michelle O’Reilly and Ken Dick
