The Cabinet Secretary for Health & Sport. Ms Jeane Freeman and the Health and Social Care spokesperson for COSLA, Cllr Stuart Currie has issued letters to care home staff and managers today (24 June).
These letters detail the need for weekly testing of care home staff and introduce the Social Care Staff Support Fund. This Fund will ensure that social care workers receive their normal pay when, due to the nature of their work or work environment, they self-isolate as part of infection, prevention and control measures.
