Anna Houston has been working in the homecare sector for the last 20 years, following a successful career in furniture sales and product development within the UK, Europe and Asia. a 

From 2004 to 2021 she ran several Carewatch franchises delivering care at home in Argyll & Bute, Ayrshire and Arran, East and West Dunbartonshire and Inverclyde.  

In 2021 Anna joined the multi award winning, independently owned homecare business HRM Homecare and is responsible for all operations across Central Scotland. Providing care and support to over 600 people. Taking the lead on Business Development to include better use of digital technologies and improving people’s life through care technologies.   

Anna sits on the Scottish Government Fair Work and Social Care Group campaigning for fair work in the care sector.  

Previously Vice-Chair Care at Home and member of the executive Team at Scottish Care, Anna is our branch chair for Dunbartonshire (East and West)  

Anna was honored to have been awarded Strategic Contribution Award at the Scottish Care at Home Awards in 2023 for her many years of campaigning for improved terms and conditions in the sector.
