The Scottish Care Workforce Development Reference Group is an established working group with the following remit…

• Contribute to the development of positive outcomes for people through participating in activities to develop the workforce.
• Reflect to the Scottish Government, the SSSC and the Care Inspectorate the views, needs and capacity of independent care homes, care at home and housing support providers in relation to delivering on the workforce implications of health and social services policy and regulation.
• Guide how providers might be supported to prioritise the range of workforce development demands arising from the key strategy and policy drivers.
• Advise and support providers to meet workforce regulations and registration.
