Scottish Care work closely with the Care Inspectorate and the SSSC to ensure member organisations are aware of regulatory and registration requirements.

A Scottish Care and SSSC Forum on Regulation has been created to ensure the independent sector can contribute to the development of policy in relation to registration, regulation and fitness to practice.  This is jointly chaired by Cheryl Campbell (SSSC) and Caroline Deane for Scottish Care.

The primary purpose of the group is to establish a channel for communication between the SSSC and the independent sector care and support providers.  The meetings will promote provider engagement with the SSSC as it develops and/or reviews its processes or systems relating to the SSSC registration processes.
