The Technology and Digital arm has provided and made contributions to thought leadership that supports the development of digital services and technology enabled care. 

Key amongst them is the Scottish Care’s ‘A vision for technology and digital in social care’. The vision was published in September 2020 and launched as part of the Care Tech event. The vision is widely cited and used to inform and guide future projects of Scottish Care. This knowledge has also contributed to the digital approaches in care homes programme. 

Another significant outcome is the ‘Human Rights Principles for Technology and Digital in Health and Social Care’, produced in collaboration with the ALLIANCE and VOX (Voices of Experience), which provides insight on a human rights-based approach to technology and digital in social care.  

We continually engage in providing support and input on the role that technology can play in social care and to communicate the impact of technology and digital in social care.
