NATIONAL CARE HOME CONTRACT: OFFER LETTER

Dear member,
I am writing to you because we have received an Offer Letter from COSLA for the 2025-2026 National Care Home Contract. This is attached below. I am sending it to you even though we are continuing to have discussions because I know with the lateness of its arrival that you would want to see the offer.
The Scottish Care negotiation team met with COSLA this morning and explored some of the assumptions in the letter, their cost basis as well as asking for further clarification.
The Scottish Care Executive meets in just over a week and will consider next steps and any recommendations to members.
We are continuing our dialogue with both COSLA and Scottish Government not least with the latter around both the underfunding of the Employers National Insurance rises and the lack of resource for HSCPs to enable them to purchase beds.
You should already have been informed about an Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on Friday 21st March 09.30-10.30 am. Registration details will be sent to you early next week and any papers thereafter.
