The right to be heard: human rights, hearing and care.

This is a joint conference run by Scottish Care and deafscotland. The participative and interactive half-day event is designed to explore the issues of hearing loss, deafness and communication barriers, how these impact on individuals who are receiving social care and those who work in social care. We are also pleased to be launching a Care Cameo publication which will consider communication as a basic human right and reflect on what needs to be in existence in care homes and homecare services to enable this to be achieved.
