Scottish Care are very aware of the pressures and challenges currently faced by care at home providers. We have been active in our media presence over the past few months: highlighting the critical issues facing care providers and calling for urgent investment into the sector to retain and attract workforce.

We are now looking to organise a campaign to raise awareness of the care homesector. 

Care homes are places which provide high quality, person-centred care to support the health and wellbeing of residents and where staff demonstrate commitment and compassion every day.

This campaign offers an opportunity for us and the wider society to reflect on the valuable role that care homes plays in the health and social care system. It is an attempt to communicate with politicians and the media, to influence meaningful action and tackle workforce retention and recruitment issues.

We will be holding a Campaign Planning Meeting on Tuesday 14 December, 10:00 – 11:00 am via Microsoft Teams. We are inviting care home members to come along and take part in this.
