Dear Colleagues,

We are writing to provide you with information (in the attached flyer) and the registration link to the upcoming health and social care webinars on the 9^th and 17^th March on “Infection Prevention & Control during the Covid-19 Pandemic- Supporting, Valuing and Listening to Health and Social Care Workers”.

 To further support health and social care workers, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport has instructed Scottish Government’s Chief Nursing Officer Directorate (CNOD) to work with NHS Education Scotland (NES), National Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections Scotland (ARHAI) and other clinical experts to develop a number of free staff webinars. These webinars will provide an opportunity for staff  to engage directly with experts involved in decision making around appropriate levels of PPE and allow them to ask questions and raise any concerns they might have.

As part of this, we would like to ask if you would be willing to help us to cascade the information on the webinars as widely as possible and encourage registration via the link below and/or in the attached flyer – please note spaces are limited and registration should be prioritised for frontline staff.

The webinar will be chaired by Jacqui Reilly, Chair of the COVID-19 Nosocomial Review Group (CNRG). Introductory remarks will be given by Norman Provan, Associate Director RCN Scotland, and there will be presentations from clinical experts and those working on the front line, as well as a Q&A session. The webinars will provide an open forum for discussion, where health and social care workers can ask any questions or raise any concerns in relation to the existing IPC measures in place across health and social care in Scotland.
