This session is a bespoke half day training workshop being delivered by the Disclosure Scotland Customer Engagement Team to countersignatories of disclosure/PVG applications under the Scottish Care umbrella.  The aim is to improve your knowledge of when you must refer individuals who have harmed children or protected adults to Disclosure Scotland.  That obligation exists even when the police and/or regulatory  bodies (e.g. SSSC, Care Inspectorate) are involved.

This interactive session is designed to provide you, as an employer, with what you need to know about when you must refer individuals that are employed by you, or volunteer for you, to Disclosure Scotland.

There will also be a discussion on future developments, including the move towards digital PVG applications, the current review of the PVG Scheme and recent changes around the convictions which are now disclosed on “higher level” disclosure certificates, including PVG.

There will also be an opportunity for Q and A with Disclosure Scotland staff on general disclosure issues.
