The Alzheimer Scotland Centre for Policy and Practice

The overall aim of the event is to explore how we understand, experience and respond to advanced dementia (the Dementia Palliare approach). The event will bring together practitioners and educators interested in advanced dementia care.

The presentations and workshops have been informed by a European project ‘Dementia Palliare’ which aims to provide the qualified dementia workforce with learning solutions to champion evidence-informed improvements in advanced dementia care. The Alzheimer Scotland Centre for Policy and Practice together with the Directorate for Chief Nursing Officer, Focus on Dementia and NHS Education for Scotland will briefly present on key developments in advanced dementia care before participants have the opportunity to engage in short workshops on related to advanced dementia care.
