    Scottish Care are delighted that you are considering becoming a member of this prestigious and highly respected organisation.

    Scottish Care  now represent the largest group of Health and Social Care sector independent providers across Scotland delivering residential care, day care, care at home and housing support. There is recognition of the merits for a strong single representative body in Scotland and our  core strategy to create the strongest possible alliance and collective voice to protect and promote the interests of all independent public care sector providers in Scotland. 

    There has never been a time when the range of presenting issues is more complex or challenging and Scottish Care has the potential to add real value whilst delivering significant benefits for its members. The organisation offers the necessary environment for real partnership, exchange of knowledge and information on the current delivery of care services, future growth, challenges, opportunities and developments.

    Scottish Care can evidence its ability to influence key stakeholders including CoSLA, the Care Inspectorate, SSSC and the Scottish Government. We have helped shape the future of care in Scotland and this could not have been achieved without the loyalty and support of the majority of care providers in Scotland.

    Membership is the key to our continued accomplishments and it is membership that will strengthen our desire to represent the entire independent care sector at a time when demands on finite government and council budgets have never been greater.

    It is only by working together that we will succeed to deliver on our vision: to shape the environment in which services can operate and thrive to develop a positive partnerships with key stakeholders including individuals and carers, along with support in key areas of business and professional activity. We will also effectively lobby, negotiate and represent the sector to ensure your ability to develop and deliver high quality, outcome focused, personalised care services

    Advice, Support & Signposting; Scottish Care is the first point of contact for professional advice and support within the Scottish care sector. We are able to signpost members to suppliers and consultants across a range of areas with added benefits.

    Information Updates; Member organisations receive regular e bulletins, e-mail alerts news flashes and mailings; have access to a member-only website to keep updated with breaking news and hot topics.

    Publications and Resources; Links and live feeds Bi monthly newsletter will soon be complimented with a regular bulletin providing information for member organisations and managers. Scottish Care will endeavour to share research reports, fact sheets and policy guidance for the sector in Scotland and seek to develop and offer guidance on key delivery issues.

    Professional Representation; Relationships with national and regional Government enable Scottish Care to represent the views providers with policy makers and the media.

    Commitment to Quality; Scottish Care members demonstrate their commitment to partnership with access to the Scottish Care logo, which is widely recognised throughout the sector.

    Conferences and Events; Scottish Care host two annual conferences, exhibitions and National Care Awards along with specific seminars and events in response to key developing current agendas. Member organisations receive preferential rates of at least one-third off the standard price.

    Training and Qualifications; Scottish Care will lobby for access to funding for training, establish and create a network of training providers

    PVG - Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and Disclosure Scotland. Scottish care is a registered lead body allowing member organisations to access PVG & Disclosure checks approving a counter signatory facility for your company.

    Insurance; Our recommended insurance schemes has been designed exclusively for the health and socail care sector by experts and is only available to Scottish Care members.

    Scottish Care Member Directory;The public regularly use our website to find registered providers in their area; as a Scottish Care member you have your own Micro page listing on our website in our finding a care service directory.
